Maturation, studied over time.
The Portuguese Whisky Maturation Observatory is being developed as a long-term scientific programme to study whisky maturation across different Portuguese environments. Its purpose is to create reliable, longitudinal knowledge that can benefit producers, researchers and the wider understanding of whisky maturation.

Establish a Distillery
From concept to licensed operation, PWA supports entrepreneurs, investors and producers seeking to establish whisky and other spirit distilling operations in Portugal.
Professional advisory services are available to PWA members. Applicants who are not yet members may submit a membership application as part of the engagement process.
